Who is Archie?

Archie is the mascot of ϳԹ and a grey fox.

You can see Archie around campus, hanging out at different student activities, meeting people in the community, and cheering on the Archers at events!

Traits: Archie is friendly, confident, smart, energetic, and always learning.

Hobbies: Meeting new people, and cheering the Archers to victory.

As the embodiment of team pride, you'll have the exciting opportunity to don the iconic costume and bring joy to every event, from spirited athletic games to off-campus community gatherings. Earn a $500 per semester scholarship while showcasing your fun and energetic personality.

This position offers flexibility, the chance to work throughout the year, and the opportunity to travel within the St. Louis area for events. Archie's Job Description

Compensation

  • $500 per semester scholarship (fall and spring only)

Responsibilities

  • Perform as “Archie the Fox” Mascot at off campus community events, ϳԹ events and some ϳԹ athletic events
  • Commit to being present at events
  • Distribute promotional items at events
  • Interact with community members, students and faculty/staff you encounter
  • Work events throughout the year, including summer if applicable

Key Characteristics

  • Fun and energetic personality
  • Professional behavior to represent ϳԹ positively at all time
  • Independent and self-motivated, while flexible and adaptable
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must be enrolled at ϳԹ for the current or upcoming semester
  • Ability to attend ϳԹ and community events when needed
  • Ability to work scheduled event dates, including outside of semesters if necessary
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required
  • Ability to travel within the St. Louis area for events
  • Skilled in dancing (preferred qualification)

Whether it's a school event, a community celebration, or a special occasion that deserves a burst of energy, Archie is ready to bring the excitement.

All requests must be submitted 2 weeks before the event. 

Please note: Archie can be in costume for 15 minutes and then needs a 30-minute break. Archie cannot walk in parades.
